For my first ever blog post (yay!) I wanted to talk about my amazing little town: the town where I grew up, live, raise my kids, and work! The town I LOVE. Kalama… A gorgeous little hillside town along the Columbia River. Kalama has a population of roughly 2,500 people and holds zero stop lights in the entire city. It is definitely a ‘everybody knows everybody’ type of place. So little, but with so much to offer. People from all over come to Kalama to enjoy fishing the Kalama and Columbia Rivers. We have an amazing marina where you will find a boat launch, playground, undercover picnic areas, walking paths, basketball & tennis courts… Our marina is also home to the worlds tallest totem pole. From almost anywhere, you can sit on your porch or look out your window and enjoy gorgeous views of the Columbia River and Oregon hillside. Located just off I-5 and only 45 minutes to Portland, quiet little Kalama makes a great place to live. Kalama holds so many of my childhood memories, and I am so happy that my kids will also get to create memories in such a perfect place.
